Hi everybody,

I hope you are all well.
I am sorry that I have not written for so long but again I have been travelling to some extraordinary places, experiencing and collecting idea's and material for future projects.
I have been visiting the forum often to check out your news and views and in the near future would like to set up a live chat with everybody so that I can answer some of your questions and generally talk about whatever we feel like.
I love the fact that you all visit and discuss many things. It's so nice to know that we all share a common interest in music.

I don't know if I mentioned to you in my last post that I had experienced some bad health last year, nothing serious but I had to take things a little easy and cut down on appearances.
Although I was a bit freaked out by this at the time it was in fact the best thing that could have happened.
For the first time in an amazing 10 years of creating albums and tours, working on my vocals, doing interviews, photo shoots. TV shows, travelling, E-mailing, phone calling and worrying, I have been able to stand still for a while and take stock of all the wonderful things that have happened, understand why they happened and to start again, feeling strong and refreshed with lots of new idea's.

I know that in the last year it might have been more exciting for me to have posted that tours, albums, TV appearances etc were all happening imminently but before all that excitement happens, the homework has to be done, so, please bear with me as the end results will be great if given the time.

I am working on three projects at the moment; two of which I will let you know about at a later date.
Every hour of my day is taken up with these and I have to admit that I am having a ball.
The album is ongoing, forever changing face, which is exciting as it means that it will be a more interesting and creative piece of work.

I have had time to go back to my piano studies and have invested in a beautiful Celtic harp which I am learning to play.

I went to see the 'Pet Shop Boys' performing the other evening at the 'Tower of London '.
It was my sister Nicola's birthday, so the family were there and we all had a great evening.

I have been listening to Yann Tiersen, Nouvelle Vague and Keane's new albums just recently and a few weeks ago went to see the young soprano Danielle de Niese perform extracts of H?ndel's 'Semele' at St Johns Smiths Square. She sang beautifully and was very arresting to watch.
I love to listen to beautiful voices.
Some of my favourites being Natalie Dessay, Sumi Jo and Renee Fleming.

My own classical vocal training was done in the USA with the singing coach Ellen Faull. At the time she was head of voice at Julliard and when she retired and moved to the West coast I followed, rented a house in L.A and every week flew up to Washington State where she lived in a beautiful house overlooking a lake and a forest and spent many happy times there, enjoying my lessons far away from the wear and tear of NYC. Ellen was a wonderful coach and a wonderful person to me and during those years I was privy to hearing her teach some of the finest voices in America.
I learnt so much from listening and also developed a good sense for understanding the difference between good and great vocalists.

Anyway, it was wonderful to write to you all again and hope to talk soon on our live chat.

Love,

Sarah B.

Always admire Sarah's perseverance of doing everything, especially in doing music.& that's one of the reasons I like her-not only her voice, but also her spirit!
I believe that it is more than sufficient for Sarah to be the coach of other, but she is still learning ,learning , and learning...
The artists whom Sarah respect are all classic characters, though I don't know much about them.
I conclude that----It will always be so many things to learn. No stop in learning.
I'll learn from Sarah as she learns from the people she respects.
